NEET 2019 Overview

NEET elaborates as the ‘National Eligibility cum Entrance Test.’ The exam is conducted for the students who intend to graduate and postgraduate under medical courses and dental courses in private or government medical and dental colleges in India. To appear in the exam, the student should have passed (10+2) with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.

Importance of Dress Code

Students appearing for NEET 2019 are given a prescribed dress code approved by NTA. Candidates who will be attempting the entrance exam will have to adhere to the described dress code that includes the clothes, footwear to be worn by students on the examination day. Along with the dresses and footwear, accessories are prescribed as well. The dress code is defined to maintain a certain decorum in the examination, and avoid cheating.

Do’s and Don’ts for Male Candidates

As per the NEET 2019 dress code, the boys must wear half sleeve t-shirts or shirts, as full sleeve shirts/t-shirts are not allowed. The clothes which will be worn by the boys should be light-weight.

The clothes should not include any pockets, zips, well-explained embroidery, and big buttons. The clothes should be as simple as possible while giving the entrance exam. Ethnic wear, i.e., Kurta Pajama is not allowed. The boys are allowed to wear trousers while appearing for the exam.

Shoes and boots are not allowed for boys, that’s why they should wear either slippers or sandals.

Do’s and Don’ts for Female Candidates

As per the NEET 2019 dress code, the female candidates must wear half sleeve clothes, as full sleeve clothes are not allowed. The clothes should not include well-explained embroidery, big buttons, brooches, or flowers. The clothes should be simple, as well as, lightweight while giving the entrance exam.

According to NEET 2019 dress code, female candidates are allowed to wear trousers and Salwars. As shoes and boots are not allowed, the female aspirants can wear sandals or slippers with low heels. High heels are also not permitted while giving the entrance exam. Female candidates are not allowed to wear any metallic jewelry, such as rings, pendants, earrings, necklace, nose ring, etc., as metal detectors mat detect and it may cause some problem.
